The scope of supply is divided into the following areas:

The Automation and SCADA System @120 is understood to be the next-generation system to the proven A120/Compact Automation and SCADA Technology. This guarantees long-term availability of this powerful Automation platform.

The Automation and SCADA System @120 may be used for new systems, especially also for migration and hence for securing the money invested in existing systems. These components fit neatly into the existing I/O world of the A120/Compact range of equipment.

The @120 CPU ALU320

The CPU  ALU320 is fitted with a powerful Processor and is built using the standard A120 I/O Module format. However, the first Communication Processor KOS (for protocols IEC 60870-5-101, -104, IEC with dial-up service or, as an alternative, Modbus TCP, Modus RTU) and the Power Supply Unit are already contained inside this CPU unit. The narrow width of this module ALU320 allows 4 I/O units to be used on the base backplane. The new base backplanes DTA300 must be used for this new ALU 320.

Beside the CPU  ALU320 together with baserack DTA300 and programming software MULTIPROG, we list especially those I/O Modules which are pin-compatible to discontinued Schneider I/O Modules

The Automation and SCADA System @250 is understood to be the next-generation system to the proven A120/Compact Automation and SCADA Technology.

This next-generation system provides long-term availability of the @250 range as the @250 system fits neatly into the I/O world of the A250 system.

A re-fit is usually done using existing I/O modules. This eliminates the need for expensive I/O cabling, thus making a re-fit or an upgrade possible at less and predictable cost.

The new CPU ALU320 ensures long term availability of automation technology components.

The @250 CPU ALU520

The CPU ALU520 is supplied in two performance grades und has the format of the existing A250 CPU's. However, the first Communication Processor KOS (for protocols IEC 60870-5-101, -104, IEC with dial-up service or, as an alternative, Modbus TCP, Modus RTU) and the Power Supply Unit are already contained inside this CPU unit.

Drive systems with Logidyn D

Logidyn D systems and the compact Logidyn D/K have been developed as high dynamic drive system control and have been utilised with more than 2000 drives in demanding applications so far. The connection scheme of the customer is developed and adapted via the management software LogiCAD. The system LogiVIEW allows the display of physical E/A parameters of control and calculation units. LogiVIEW furtherly provides online parametrisation of the function mudules. The system also allows the measurement of process factors and controlled process variables via its integrated oscilloscope module. 

Logidyn D operates and controls DC and AC drives in rolling mills, conveying machineries, paper mills and is also usable for starting converters and excitation units in power plants. All systems and plug in cards are serviced by us, including replacement parts. For older facilities needing high availability for use in the future, we offer backfitting solutions with up-to-date hard- and software.

ProXkon Protocol Converter ( OPC Client, Server IEC 60870-5-101, -103, 104 )

ProXkon is a Protocol Converter Software pagage running under Windows 2000/XP for converting different protocol types to an OPC-Server.  This allows, for example, that a Host SCADA system can access these protocols across a Standard OPC-Client interface.

A ProXkon Server system may connect up to 6 different protocols with maximum 16 RS232 based SCADA lines or process connections. Each individual case must consider specific constraints or rules when data or data streams are being converted.

Data points or data streams may be pre-processed in an open database system. The internal script language is used for this purpose. Data may be logged to a printer and stored in the system. Data entry can be performed on-line in a running system.

Beside connection of Field Bus Systems, ProXkon may specifcally be used for the connection of SCADA systems.

Series DIB 210 / 215 / 312 / 315 is an  Industrial Touch-Terminal for Panel mounting. It runs ProWin® Lite visualization software, 64 PV´s upward, and is used for various operator and display functions, especially within a SCADA surrounding or as an on-site workstation.

Emphasis was laid on robust construction and long term delivery of this series. Also high performance up to 1 GHz under Windows XP operating system and simple operation by integrated softkeys. This system construction also features an integrated temperature and blower RPM monitoring electronics.

GPRS Transmission Technology (Modems, ISDN, GSM, GPRS) 

A wide spectrum of Modems, ISDN-Terminals, GSM-, GPRS-Modems are available. An in teresting Data service is GPRS ( General Package Radio Service ) by T-Mobile. GPRS in D-Network offers fast and economical Data Transfer. It is billed only by data volume. The  GPRS-Data packets are transmitted during open time slots of a mobile telephone service.  These must lie adjacent and within the same transmission channel (TRX).


 

Under GPRS these are combined into 4 Time slots, such that other services like mobile phones can still communicate. A maximum data rate of 53.6 kBit/s is possible. When booking into the GSM / GPRS- Network, each user receives a specific IP-Address. Dynamic addresses are allocated. A connection is established across that server which one of the two users has connected.

The cost for a GPRS call is low. As an example we take a Water Supply System RTU which transmits 30 status signals, 2 counter values, 16 commands, 2 analog values every 5 minutes. At the current tarrif rate, this will cost < 10EUR/month at T-Mobile. As GPRS is charged according to the transmitted volume of data, the standardised protocol IEC 60870-5-104 (Ethernet), which all of the new SCADA RTU's (@040, @050, @060, @120) offer, is best suited.

This equipment may be connected to  ProWin, ProXkon or an @120 SCADA Master. The connection is made using a DSL port with fixed IP-Address and a VPN Router with integrated Firewall.

 

SCADA RTU

We supply new equipment types A120 Compact, @120 in co-operation with our partner OHP. This equipment is compatible with existing systems using AXXX-Technology. The units A120, @120 and A250, @250 are used as SCADA RTU's for large amounts of data, the A040, @040, @050,@060 as SCADA RTU's for smaller amounts of data. The new equipment range is given below:

The Compact PLC may be used as a SCADA RTU using Modnet 1/F (SEAB 1/F), Modnet 1/W and IEC 870-5-101 protocols.

The connection is by fixed telephone line or dial-up line.

  2 versions are available:

(Buffer for 1.575 Data Streams
> 110 CPU 722 with 512 kByte RAM
(Buffer for 26.440 Data Streams)

The remaining electrical and mechanical specifications are the same.
